
The construction works of High Plateaux linking the eastern and western borders on more than 1,000 km, will be launched Thursday, said Monday Minister of Public Works Abdelkader Kadi.
The first section of this highway between Batna and Khenchela was entrusted to public and private Algerian companies run by the public group Cosider, said the minister at the forum of Liberté paper.
The deadline for the construction of the opening sections (102 km) was fixed 18 months.
The works of two other sections, linking Khenchela to Tebessa and Saida to Tiaret, will be launched before the end of 2014, said the minister.
This project, said Kadi, will be executed by public and private Algerian companies.
