A delegation of Egyptian Transport Ministry succeeded in settling the crisis of the Egyptian trucks which have been stranded for days at the Jordanian port of Aqaba.
An agreement was reached with the Arab Bridge Maritime Company to rent another ferryboat to carry the stranded trucks and end the crisis, head of the delegation Sobhi Rabee said.
The delegation also chatted with drivers of Egyptian trucks to know their problems and mull necessary solutions.
He added that he will meet later with Jordanian officials to lay down necessary mechanisms to avoid such a problem in the future, especially during the time when Egyptian agricultural crops are being exported to Gulf countries through Nuweiba and Aqaba ports.
