A new development project was launched in Egypt Tuesday and it mainly targets towns and villages.
Ayadi, an investment and development company, will be establishing projects in towns and villages to guarantee residents of those areas do not move to capitals of governorates, Local Development Minister Adel Labib said.
Governors are expected to play a role in managing firms that emerge from the mother company, Ayadi, Labib said in a speech during the launching of the project.
This should also be done in coordination with youth, he added.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab attended the ceremony together with his ministers of international cooperation, higher education, education, youth, social solidarity and planning.
