
Head of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Bundestag's Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Ramsauer said Germany looks forward to promote investment opportunities in Egypt.
This comes after latest developments witnessed by the Egyptian economy atop of which discovering "Shourk" gas field, inaugurating the New Suez Canal and preparing to hold the parliamentary elections so soon.
These remarks came during a speech delivered by Ramsauer on the occasion of inaugurating the Egyptian-German forum organized by the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce and the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce.
The German official said that Egyptian exports to Germany reached 1.5 billion euros, while the German exports to Egypt hit about 3 billion euros.
He further said that the visit of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Germany in June reflected the strength of relations between the two countries.
