Finland's Ambassador to Egypt Tuula Yrjölä Sunday said she was glad the Egypt Economic Development Conference held recently in Sharm el Sheikh succeeded. This has given the Egyptian economy a strong push, she said.
Addressing the inaugural session of a conference organized by the production self-sufficiency authority, in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland in Cairo, the ambassador said the government should reassure investors of steps being taken to support the economy.
Egypt has faced great challenges but there is still an opportunity to reach economic growth, she added.
Head of the authority Hassan el Zeer said the twinship between the authority and the European Union project will be completed in April. The 1.3-million-euro project will run for two years, he said.
