
Chairman of the Egyptian Customs Authority Magdi Abdel Aziz and Director General of Algerian Customs Authority Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala on Wednesday agreed to activate the cooperation agreement on combating the customs violations.
During the joint Egyptian-Algerian committee's meeting, Bouderbala said that the agreement, which was signed in 1997, would be reviewed in accordance with developments of the international law on customs' field.
ِAlso, the two parties asserted the necessity of boosting the bilateral cooperation in the field of sharing statistics, information and communication technologies.
For his part, Abdel Aziz stressed the importance of sharing information, statistics with countries to combat fraud, drug trafficking and smuggling.
