
Egypt will be the guest of honor of the 23rd Arab Economic Forum, which will kick off Tuesday in Beirut.
A number of senior Egyptian officials and leaders from the public and private sectors will participate in the forum and present the latest developments in the economic and investment environment in the country. They will present the major projects slated for implementation, especially projects that were committed to at the Sharm el-Sheikh Economic Conference by many governments and Arab and foreign financial and investment groups.
The Forum is organized by Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group in cooperation with the Central Bank of Lebanon, the Association of Banks in Lebanon and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
Under the patronage of Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam, this year's edition is dedicated to the memory of the late Said Khoury. The Forum is organized by Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group in collaboration with the Central bank of Lebanon, the Association of Banks in Lebanon and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
The edition is dedicated to Said Khoury who was the President of the Consolidated Contractors Company as well as the Chairman of Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal. For the last twenty two years Al Iktissad Wal Aamal has been organizing the Forum and has always witnessed the participation of Khoury until his recent decease few months ago.
