Egypt and Lebanon agreed on Sunday to boost mutual cooperation under the umbrella of the Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Friendship Association (ELBFA) to reinforce bilateral relations in the fields of trade, investment and transportation.
This came during a meeting organized by the ELBFA and attended by Egyptian Transportation Minister Saad el-Geyoushi, Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transportation Ghazi Zaiter and Lebanese Ambassador to Egypt Khalid Zeyada, along with several ELBFA officials and businessmen.
ELBFA chairman Fathallah Fawzy called on the Egyptian and Lebanese governments to support the private sector by removing all obstacles facing investors and businessmen.
The two ministers agreed on outlining mechanisms to develop bilateral relations and updating joint agreements.
Geyoushi called on the Egyptian and Lebanese businessmen to cooperate and increase their investments in Egypt in the coming period.
Zaiter, meanwhile, urged the Egyptian and Lebanese investors to increase trade exchange between the two countries.
