
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Atef Helmi received on Tuesday Ajay Banga, the President and Chief Executive Officer of world Master Card company.
They discussed measures related to the financial merging services with the aim of the use of mobile phones to enable citizens to use their financial services via safe and credible technological methods linked to national IDs.
Helmi said in a statement that he discussed with Banga measures to establish an innovation center in Cairo to display the most state-of-the-art technology produced by Master Card group.
For his part, Ajay Banga described the financial merging as the base for achieving economic growth and transparency.
Meanwhile, minister Helmi received Ahmed Abdel-Karim Jelfar, the executive officer of Etisalat Group of the United Arab Emirates where they discussed means to increase the group's investments in Egypt.
