Investment Minister Ashraf Salman inaugurated new rooms in the historical state-owned Mena House Hotel comprising 36 rooms at a total cost of EGP 60 million.
Mena House, built in 1869, is owned by the Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels (EGOTH), a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels and Cinema. It is located in the shadows of the great pyramids of Giza.
The national economy will be boosted only if the people supported and worked with the government, Salman said during the ceremony.
The new rooms raise the number of rooms in the hotel to 361.
