Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held on Sunday a meeting to follow up the implementation of projects financed either by loans or grants.
The ministers of trade and industry, irrigation, housing, international cooperation, agriculture as well as the secretary general of the Social Fund for Development were present at the meeting, Cabinet spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
The international cooperation minister talked about the delay in some projects financed by loans and grants.
The housing minister briefed the premier on hurdles that led to delaying the implementation of some of the housing projects like security turbulence in the past and encroachments on state lands.
As most of these hurdles were addressed, implementation rates have accelerated, he said.
Mahlab asked for a detailed report on projects carried out by the Agriculture Ministry and financed by loans and grants to be discussed in a next week meeting.
