
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a number of meetings Tuesday in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh to follow up the final preparations for a conference to support and develop Egypt's economy slated for March 13-15.
In a meeting with officials from the organizing company, Mahlab listened to a detailed explanation of the logistics and objective aspects of the conference.
He was briefed on preparations to welcome delegations taking part in the event at the airport, as well as security, transport and housing measures.
Mahlab stressed the need to have a highly organized conference. A team of ministries and parties concerned should be formed to solve any problems and make immediate decisions in cases of emergency, he directed.
The economic conference will be an important step and chance to shed light on the government's economic and social views, as well as reforms, Mahlab said.
