Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab Saturday inaugurated a bridge in Mersa Matrouh.
Fouka Bridge extends over Fouka railway barrier on Alexandria-Matrouh road.
The project is meant to boost security levels along the road by cancelling the intersection with the train track.
It will be a two-level intersection and a third lane will be added to further facilitate the flow of traffic along the free road.
Egypt is witnessing a quantum leap in development projects, Mahlab said.
Those projects also secure many jobs for youth, the premier said.
Upgrading the road system will sure contribute to achieving development and ending the traffic problem, he added.
