Trade and Industry Minister Monier Fakhri Abdel Nour ordered on Sunday the re-formation of the Egyptian side in the business council with Ethiopia.
The new formation will be in office for three years under Board Chairman of Suwaidi Electrics Ahmed Suwaidi.
The Egyptian side should send to the minister a by-annual report on its activities and suggestions.
The council plays an important role in boosting trade between Egypt and Ethiopia and increasing joint investments, said Abdel Nour in a statement by the ministry.
He underlined the importance of upping trade, currently estimated at 200 million dollars, to reach 500 million dollars within three years.
There are 137 Egyptian companies with 2-billion-dollar investments operating in the Ethiopian market.
Suwaidi investments alone are estimated at 250 million dollars.
