
Egyptian investment in Dubai’s real estate sector totaled 2.55 billion dirham, equivalent to EGP 5.1 bn, followed by Jordan during 2015, according to a UAE government report.
The report, released by Dubai Real Estate Studies and Research Administration, pointed out that 1,390 Egyptians out of 55,928 international investors from various world countries purchased real estate units in Dubai in 2015.
The report also noted that investments of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals in Dubai real estate hit 44 billion dirham during the previous year. UAE nationals ranked first among GCC investors with total investments of 26.08 billion dirham.
As per the foreign investments, they hit 74 billion dirham during 2015 as Indians ranked first among foreign investors in Dubai's real estate market.
