
The Investment Ministry's Leadership and Management Development Center earned EGP 17 million during the fiscal year 2014/2015, LMDC Director-General Asharf Ibrahim told Minister Asharf Salman on Monday.
A statement by the Ministry said Salman, at a meeting earlier in the day, reviewed LMDC key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the results achieved by the Center in all its projects.
According to the statement, LMDC forged EGP 17 million worth contracts with its customers, compared to only seven million pounds in the fiscal year 2013/2014.
LMDC started to implement a number of post-graduate programs in Ismailia governorate in coordination with Suez Canal Authority, the statement read, noting that the number of students who applied to these programs reached 688 in 2014/2015.
LMDC also offered 118 training programs for 3019 trainees, the statement added.
As for evaluating leadership qualifications, LMDC Center evaluated some 716 senior officers who were nominated for posts on the managerial level at the various work organizations, according to the statement.
LMDC carried out six consultation operations in the fields of strategic planning, marketing, corporate restructuring and feasibility studies, the statement said.
During the meeting, the minister issued directives that LMDC should focus on developing training content and methods, as well as on market requirements, the statement added.
