Egypt's Prime minister follows up 1.5m feddan project

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting on Sunday to discuss the project on the reclamation of 1.5 million feddans as part of the first phase of a project to develop and reclaim four million feddans.
The premier asserted the importance of the project in terms of increasing the area of agricultural land in Egypt and creating new urban communities to contain the constant increase in population, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam el Qawish said.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of planning, irrigation, agriculture and petroleum and the head of the Urban Planning Authority.
