Minister of Transport Hani Dahi held a meeting here on Tuesday with a delegation of Chinese experts to probe maintenance and development of the 24,000-kilometer roads network in implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed during the latest visit to China by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In statements to reporters following the meeting, Dahi said the delegation visited the roads in Matrouh, Siwa and Mostorod and the two sides agreed to use the latest equipment to begin development projects.
An agreement has been reached with the delegation, which represents one of China's leading companies in the field of establishing and maintaining roads and other projects, on maintaining around 3,000 kilometers of roads within a year, the minister said.
The meeting focused on the swift implementation of projects with the highest quality in conformity with international standards, he added.
