
The Emirates Red Crescent has launched the second phase of the Tarahamou campaign for the relief of families affected by the blizzards in Lebanon.
The second phase of the campaign is in accordance with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent. The second phase aims to benefit 16,000 displaced Syrians and Palestinians families in addition to a thousand Iraqi families fled to Lebanon recently.
An official source at the UAE embassy in Beirut, which oversees the implementation of the second phase of the campaign, said that aid has been distributed in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and included food as well as other essential commodities along with mattresses, pillows, blankets and winter clothing for all ages.
