The Head of the Egyptian Exporters Association (ExpoLink) Khaled el Miqaty said that his association aims at opening 12 logistic centers in 12 African countries during the coming three years.
This remark came during the forum of qualifying a new generation of exporters which is organized by the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI).
Miqaty underlined that during the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the first logistic center will be established in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, adding that ExpoLink will organize a visit to Kenya in January to agree about the final preparations of the center.
The aim of establishing such centers is the constant presence of Egyptian goods in African markets, the official underscored, noting that the Egyptian exports to the African countries are very low as it reach about 2 billion dollars annually.
The African imports from Egypt reach about 360 billion dollars, he reiterated, adding that Kenya is the top country that imports goods from Egypt worth 250 million dollars.
