
The annual financial summit on global bank transactions Sibos,organized by the financial messaging provider SWIFT, started here on Monday for the first time in the Middle East. The four-day event is attended by 7,300 delegates with 240 exhibitors. About 279 speakers from the financial industry will give their insights on the current topics in financial transaction universe like cyber security, cloud computing and eliminating operational inefficiencies. As this year's Sibos is held for the first time in the Middle East, financial topics regarding the Gulf Arab region are also high on the agenda. SWIFT, the 1973-founded Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication based in Brussels, provides financial messaging services for over 10,000 financial institutions worldwide.
