France praises New Suez Canal as great venture

The Elysée described inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal next month as great success, which will push forward the developmental ventures in the surrounding economic areas.
This remark came in a statement issued by the Elysée on Thursday to announce that the French President François Hollande will attend the inauguration ceremony of the canal on August 6 upon an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
During Hollande's visit to Egypt, he will discuss with Sisi some issues of common interest, the statement read.
