A fuel truck driver was injured, and suffered bruises all over his body on Saturday when his vehicle overturned and caught fire in Wadi Al-Yutm on the road to the port city of Aqaba, the Civil Defence Department (CDD) reported.
The CDD media centre said that the tanker truck was laden with 40 tons of diesel when it crashed, and that fire department personnel and medics rushed to the scene and put out the blaze.
The medics administered first aid to the driver before he was transferred to the Prince Hashem Military Hospital in the southern city, where he was listed in a fair condition.
