
The Gulf Co-operation Council(GCC) Commercial Arbitration Centre has approved its financial budget for the year 2015. The board of directors convened for their 62nd meeting at their headquarters and endorsed the marketing strategy for the upcoming two years 2015-2016.
The centre is planning to bolster cooperation with the GCC legal and judicial authorities bar societies, the press economic and press establishments, the chambers of commerce and industry as well the Arab and foreign arbitration institutions.
The panel endorsed minutes of board meeting (61) and was updated on results of the annual session, which was held by the (GCC) Commercial Arbitration Centre in Salala in 2014.
The board session discussed the memorandum which was submitted by the secretary-general on financing the construction of the permanent multi-storey headquarters, which would include arbitration halls, training venues, a digital library, in addition to a business centre.
