Investors from the German state of Bavaria see huge investment opportunities in Egypt and a possibility to export Egyptian product to Germany, a senior German economy official said on Tuesday.
Egypt is a bridge between Arab and African countries and Germany, Deputy Economy Minister of the State of Bavaria Franz Josef told a press conference at the German Science Center in Cairo.
The official added that he met, during his visit of Cairo, with the ministers of planning, investment, housing and trade and industry and discussed with them ways of boosting cooperation.
He pointed out to his meeting with head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish, lauding the New Suez Canal project that was accomplished in only one year.
The Egyptian government is exerting strenuous efforts to establish infrastructure attractive to investments, including road and railway projects and the implementation of a single-window system.
