Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRSC) Dr. Helal Al-Sayer said a seven-truck convoy would leave for Jordan Monday to deliver food, blankets and garments for the Syrian refugees.
The aid will be delivered to the Syrian refugees in person, in collaboration of Kuwait Embassy in Amman and the Jordanian Red Crescent, Al-Sayer said in a press statement.
He thanked all citizens, businessmen and companies who contributed to the aid convoy.
Al-Sayer said KRSC volunteers would be responsible for the delivery of assistance. The volunteers, he added, had already delivered relief aid for Syrian refugees in Ma'an, Aqaba, Irbed, Ajloon, Turra and areas close to the Syrian borders.
Al-Sayer said the Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon were in dire need of help.
KRSC's doors are open for donations "for our Syrian brothers in order to stand by them in this ordeal," he said.
