Sponsored by the Syrian government, the Arab Palestinian Refugees General Commission and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) distributed Monday 425 food baskets and 295 health baskets among the residents of al-Yarmouk refugee camp near Damascus.
The Commission’s director Ali Mustafa said that 350 food baskets were distributed in al-Yarmouk Camp on Sunday, indicating that a total of 46,485 baskets have been distributed since 30th January.
He pointed out that UNRWA’s medical point in the camp continues to provide health services to the locals there.
Syrian and Palestinian citizens have been trapped inside the camp due to terrorist acts of armed groups who continue to hamper efforts to deliver humanitarian assistance to the locals.
