Illegal Egyptian workers urged to get benefit from Jordan's grace period

Egypt's Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat called on illegal Egyptian workers to get benefit from a two-month grace period to adjust their status.
The period came as a result of cooperation between the embassy and Jordanian authorities, Tharwat said.
The Jordanian cabinet approved to regulate and reintegrate illegal Egyptian workers in the formal labor market, the embassy said in a statement earlier.
The embassy said that during the first month of the grace period, the Jordanian authorities will only obtain fees of issuing new work permit without retroactive effect.
