Overall annual inflation of Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Dubai dropped by 2.17 percent in November 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, a report released by Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC) showed. It noted an increase of 0.4 percent in inflation for November compared to October due to high prices of the tobacco group by 16.24 percent, miscellaneous goods and services by 0.43 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel by 0.07 percent and furniture, furnishings, household appliances and maintenance by 0.01 percent. The report quoted today by Emirates news agency (WAM) noted a decrease of 27 percent in the transport group, 14 percent in restaurants and beverages, 0.6 percent in communication, 0.1 percent and in restaurants and hotels while prices remained stable in other groups.
