
The International Conference on Gas Industry in Algeria started Sunday in Mohamed Benahmed convention centre of Oran (432 km west of Algiers), under the chairmanship of Energy Minister Youcef Yousfi.
This meeting takes place in the presence of Sonatrach Group’s CEO, officials from the sector of energy and Sonatrach as well as international experts and several international companies specialized in the field of gas industry.
During two days, the participants will discuss two themes, namely “The non-conventional resources in Algeria: Potential and prospects” and “50 years of LNG industry: Algeria’s experience.”
The event’s organizers said that this international conference aims at informing about the national potential in non conventional resources, discussing the prospects of developing this potential and enhancing the Algerian experience in gas industry and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
