
Iraq's Oil Minister Adel Abdulmahdi has commended political and economic support of his country extended by Kuwait during an encounter with its Ambassador Ghassan Al-Zewawi on Monday.
Both sides discussed means to reinforce bilateral relations over numerous fronts, including the oil sector cooperation, according to a ministry statement.
The minister praised "Kuwait's role in supporting Iraq over the economic and political spectrums, and the contribution of Kuwaiti companies in the development of the (Iraqi) oil industry." For his part, Ambassador Al-Zewawi congratulated the newly-appointed minister on receiving the role and expressed Kuwait's keenness on furthering relations over all fields - the oil sector being one of these.
