
The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) gave 181 licenses in November to new industrial projects at a total investment of 12.7 billion pounds that will provide more than 10,000 jobs inside and outside industrial areas.
A report by the agency, that was submitted to Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil, said the projects cover eight industrial sectors, including engineering, chemical, textile, mining, mineral and leather industries.
Engineering industries have the lion share with 47 new projects, the report said.
The new projects will be implemented in 20 governorates with Menuifiya on the top of the list.
