Joint ministerial committee formed to solve river transport issues

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation in coordination with the Ministry of Transport said that a technical committee was formed to solve the problems of river transport.
The committee comprises experts form both ministries.
This came in a statement of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Friday on the results of a meeting held between Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi and Transport Minister Saad el Gyoushi to discuss means to improve river transport in Egypt.
Moghazi said that the ministry welcomes providing all the potentials to ease the river transport operation.
Meanwhile, Gyoushi asserted the importance of the river transport to transfer big cargoes which now depend on land transport.
