
President of Amman Chamber of Commerce Issa Haider Murad met here today with Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat.During the meeting, they discussed means of developing trade and investment relations between the two countries. The two officials agreed to support and encourage joint investment ventures mainly in attractive and targeted sectors with the aim to boost commercial and investment relations between the two countries. Jordan imports from Egypt cheese, vegetables, fruits, and soybean oil, fertilizers, and other goods. Jordan's exports to Egypt last year stood at JD 84 million, compared to JD 500 million of imports during the same year, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
