
A loan agreement was signed with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation on Monday under which the Japanese Government will provide Jordan with a $118.4 million soft loan to enhance the financial situation and support Jordan’s development policies.Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ibrahim Saif said the loan will be used to support the general budget and enhance the financial situation.He also thanked the Japanese government and people for their continued support to the Kingdom.Jordan and Japan signed this month 3 grant agreements totaling $38.6 million to establish the Petra Museum, raise efficiency of the water sector and purchase medical equipment.
