
Exports by the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) exceeded JD3 billion during the first nine months of 2013, a slight decline compared to the same period in 2012, according to figures obtained by Petra. Exports by the chamber, mostly to the Arab countries, declined by less than five percent, reaching JD2.945 billion between January to September this year, as compared to JD3.099 billion during the same period last year. According to the figures,carried by Petra news agency on Wednesday, exports to the Asian Arab countries increased during the first nine months of this year by 12 percent, reaching JD1,720 billion. The figures showed an increase in the chamber's exports to the USA, reaching JD250 million, followed by JD3,6 million worth of exports to Canada. The minerals and chemical industrial sector topped the list of exports with JD605 million followed by the mineral industries with JD508 million and engineering industries with JD450 million.
