
Lower House Foreign Affairs Committee President Hazem Qashou on Thursday discussed with a delegation form the Untied States Agency for International Development (USAID) Jordanian-US ties as well as ways to further boost them in various fields.
Qashou reviewed the humanitarian role played by Jordan as well as its efforts to bring about security and stability in the world.
He also spoke about the burden being shouldered by Jordan as a result of hosting Syrian refugees, who place a huge pressure on the Kingdom’s resources and infrastructure.
Qashou highlighted the importance of the support provided by the US to Jordan, mainly in the investment and youth fields.
The delegation praised Jordan’s efforts to bring about security and stability in the region as well as services provided to the Syrian refugees.
