Representative of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) in Lebanon Nawaf Al-Dabbous asserted here on Wednesday keenness of the Fund to support infrastructure projects in Lebanon. Al-Dabbous told KUNA after meeting Energy and Water Minister Gebran Bassil that the two sides discussed a number of projects implemented by the Fund in Lebanon at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He added that the Fund's projects in Lebanon contributed to the revival and development of social and economic life, and reflected the spirit of loving and affections of the people of Kuwait to Lebanon. He said the Fund attaches great attention to development projects and social development in Lebanon, pointing to the importance of projects implemented by the Fund in Lebanon for the advancement of its economy and improving basic infrastructure. Meanwhile, KFAED has so far provided Lebanon with 17 loans since 1966 worth nearly USD 500 million.
