
The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation team has launched an intensive campaign for the distribution of winter aid to some 37,000 needy families affected by the intense cold wave that swept Tunisia recently.
An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said that it had implemented the campaign in Tunisia in accordance with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the orders of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, the source said that the campaign had been conducted in cooperation with the country's embassy in Tunisia and the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity, including 12 states in the north-west and south of Tunisia.
