The King Hussein Business Park and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) signed an agreement on Monday to convert the King Hussein Business Park into an eco-friendly solar-powered smart city.
The agreement aims at drafting a framework for a strategic partnership between the two sides, including providing technical advice to the Park's administration for the technical, financial and institutional requirements to transform the Business Park into a smart city. The move is widely expected to contribute towards attracting investments, empowering entrepreneurs and throwing up business leaders.
Such a Park will embody an integrated environment for business that local and international companies find professionally safe. It will feature outstanding facilities in terms of infrastructure, information technology and communication and will have a conference hall and an information storage center.
