The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced here on Sunday that it handed out humanitarian aid to about 5,000 Syrian refugee families living in Beqaa governorate in eastern Lebanon.
KRCS Chairman Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer told KUNA that the Kuwaiti leadership, government and people are keen on supporting displaced Syrians to alleviate their sufferings amid hard weather conditions in their makeshift shelters.
The aid included food parcels, cleaning materials and fuel for heating as well as gifts for children, he added.
