
Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) handed in food coupons, rations and supplies to Syrian refugees families in Lebanon, said an official here on riday.
Head of KRCS's mission in Lebanon Dr. Musa'ad Al-Enizi told KUNA that Kuwait will continue to support Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Some 5,000 families are benefiting from food coupons and rations' program while the KRCS continues to provide bread for 4,000 families through its "bakery initiative," said the official.
Since the crisis in Syria began on March 15, 2011, Kuwait had been showing support to the Syrian refugees, sending numerous relief aid missions to help ease their pain and suffering.
Kuwait held two donors conferences for the Syrian refugees, gathering around USD 4 billion in for the refugees.
