
Kuwait's Higher Committee for Syrian Refugees Relief began Monday providing food aid to Syrian refugees living at various areas in the Kingdom.
The food aid, valued at USD 3,850, will be distributed in 9,400 packages that are presented by Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs within the framework of the urgent relief program for the Syrian people.
The aid is part of the campaign of Kuwait's urgent relief program for the Syrian people which was launched under the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to help alleviate the suffering of Syrian people, Kuwait Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij told KUNA while attending the a ceremony of this occasion.
For his part, Dr. Fahad Al-Rashidi, head of the higher committee's delegation, commended Jordan's role in bearing the fallouts of Syrian refugee, praising at the same time the Kuwaiti Embassy in facilitating the delegation's mission.
