
Kuwait Ambassador to Switzerland Bader Saleh Al-Tunaib handed out Tuesday the second donation of Kuwait Zakat House designated for funding an Islam-awareness center.
Secretary General of the Islamic cultural center in the city of La Chaux-de-fonds Mohammad Karmous received the 192,000 Swiss Francs (USD 208,714) donation.
Ambassador Al-Tunaib told KUNA that the donation is part of Kuwait's keenness to support and offer help for those in need through raising awareness about Islam worldwide.
He also said that such contributions show how Kuwait is ahead in supporting efforts of raising awareness about Islam; he also pointed out that these kinds of projects boosts friendly relations between the two countries.
On June 20 Kuwait has donated USD 140,000 to renovate two floors and add electricity and heater systems for the center.
