
The Kuwaiti Higher Committee for Relief distributed humanitarian aid to 1,440 Syrian refugee families in Jordan as part of Kuwait's wide-scale campaign purposed to deliver financial and food aid to Syrian refugees.
The campaign aids Syrian families who are in need and residing in Amman and northern areas, head of the delegation, Dr. Walid Al-Anjari told KUNA, adding that this comes within the framework of celebrations of Kuwait national holidays.
He added that the four-day campaign embodies benevolence of His Highness the Kuwaiti Amir, government and people in order to aid the Syrians due to weather conditions in the region.
The Kuwaiti Higher Committee for Relief comprises 11 government institutions and charities. It is led by Chairman of International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO), UN Secretary-General's Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs and Advisor at the Amiri Diwan, Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq.
