The National Assembly's State Budget and Financial Statement Committee warned that it is considering not to approve the budget of any governmental entity that does not comply with and execute the Audit Bureau's notes and recommendations.
The Committee Chairman Adnan Abdulsamad criticized some entities' repeated non compliance with the Audit Bureau's recommendations and warned that the committee could take action against them.
The remarks were made by Abdulsamad in a press statement following the parliamentary committee meeting with a number of Audit Bureau officials to discuss mechanism of making use of the Audit Bureau reports about the financial aspects of the government agencies performance.
The committee members reviewed with representatives of the Audit Bureau the frequent irregularities in government sectors, he said.
