
Kuwait participated in Dakar International Exhibition, which was opened under the auspices of President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall, and inaugurated on his behalf by Prime Minister Aminata Toure. In a statement to KUNA, Kuwait Embassy in Senegal said that Prime Minister Toure visited Kuwait's pavilion during his tour in the exhibition, which began activities Thursday evening. Upon her visit, Premier Toure was received by Kuwait Charge d'affaires in Dakar Abdulaziz Abdullatif Al-Omi and all Kuwaiti embassy staff, in addition to Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry delegation members Dhami Al-Quraifah and Ahmad Saleh Al-Zayed. Al-Omi thanked the premier for making Kuwait's pavilion as his first stop at the exhibition, noting that Kuwait's participation this year was a testament to decisions and recommendations made at the third Arab-African Summit, held recently in Kuwait, which emphasizes the importance of enhancing trade exchange between Arab countries and Africa. The Kuwaiti official highlighted the two countries' bilateral relations and ways to bolster cooperation in all fields. For her part, Prime Minister Toure thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his generous initiative that was put forward during the Arab-African summit. Toure also asserted on the importance of decisions that resulted from the summit, praising Kuwait's role in embracing such international conferences and summits. Al-Quraifah said 14 Kuwaiti companies participating in the exhibition, along a group of Arab countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria and Algeria.
