The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) on Monday delivered urgent aid to 1000 Syrian families in the Jordanian Turra city near the Syrian borders.
The aid campaign aims to alleviate sufferings of the Syrian refugees amid the severe weather conditions in the region.
This aid is part of a program launched to help Syrian refugees in Jordan, head of KRCS field team Abdullah Al-Nasser said. It includes foodstuff, medical supplies and blankets.
Around seven trucks loaded with 30,000 blankets, food and heaters are also expected to arrive in Jordan during the next few days to aid Syrian refugees, he added.
The aid program aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced Syrians amid the freezing weather conditions in the region, he said.
