
Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has launched a project under the name "The Seventh Loaf of Bread" to help feed the displaced Syrians in the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon, said a KRCS official on Thursday.
In keeping with the project's goal, bread and olive oil, among other nutrients, have been distributed to 1000 families of displaced Syrians in Sidon, said KRCS chairman of the social committee affairs Fawzia Al-Nassar, in a statement to KUNA.
A delegation representing the committee has been making rounds on various areas in southern Lebanon, including Tripoli, distributing food packages and clothes to needy displaced Syrians.
Attachأ© D'affaires at the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon, Mohammad Al-Weqayyan, told KUNA that Kuwait would continue its help to displaced Syrians in Lebanon who, according to the latest statistics, number over one million.
