Director General of Kuwait Zakat House Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Al-Saleh said Tuesday that Kuwait's cooperation with Egypt is steadily growing in different fields, particularly the philanthropic one.
Al-Saleh's remarks were made on the sidelines of the second meeting of the board of trustees of Egyptian Zakat House in Cairo, chaired by the Grand Imam of Egypt's Al-Azhar University Ahmad Al-Tayeb with the participation of a number of legal, economic, and administrative experts.
He expressed his pride in the positive role played by that Kuwaiti leadership, government, and people in supporting humanitarian and philanthropic actions in various world countries, including Egypt.
The meeting discussed a number of proposals, including choosing the House's headquarters and the office of accounting and auditing, he said, adding that discussions also addressed two projects; the House's organizational structure project and formation of the board's subcommittees.
The Egyptian Zakat House was established under law 123/2014 as an independent body to receive and distribute alms funds and charities to beneficiaries under the supervision of the Grand Imam of Egypt's Al-Azhar University.
